Its being over five months since the infinix zero debuted in the Nigerian mobile market.
It generated a lot of buzz among android users, virtually talked about, reviewed by android users and tech bloggers alike.
Obviously the infinix zero’s specifications and the price at which it is being sold, Is its greatest appeal. It caught the fancy of all, me included and I bought the phone.
With little money one could enjoy nearly all the benefits of high end android phones, so I thought until my excitement turned to regret.
It was not its camera/screen quality/processor/flash /below par battery or any other feature that makes this phone a nightmare. But its worrying and incessant heating up, A regular problem identified by Infinix users in reviews, aware of this it was something I expected.
However these ‘’lags’’ are nothing in my opinion when compared to the infinix zeros fragile nature, which I found out in a hard way. My Infinix Zero fell for the first time and was unable to power on afterwards. Surprised, dumbfounded and annoyed at clumsy self, was my reaction when it occurred. I eventually went to the companies (Infinix) official repairers, after several visits which tasked me physically as I was recuperating from an illness. My phone was repaired for free, This made light the stress I went through in the process of its repair.
Happy that my phone was functioning at last but it was not for long because my phone worked for less than two weeks before going off. I was gaming with the device when it occurred. Perplexed, I hoped it was a power glitch and plugged the phone to a power source, waiting for it to come up. My wait stretched into weeks, I am still waiting.
Although I needed nobody to tell me that it was a ‘’major glitch’’, ‘’A glitch from its makers who did not inform this buyer, that they packaged a biscuit instead of a phone’’.
I took the phone back to the same repairers, they diagnosed the same problem but this time I was told that I was going to pay and it was no small fee.
I thought to myself ‘’ If the repair carried out by these experts couldn’t last for a month. Therefore it was not certain that paying for the repair this time would fix my phone for good. Thus I decided not to further burden myself with the Infinix zero.
Reflecting on my ordeal with the Infinix zhero, I thought that it was my poor handling that led to this but on seeing and hearing stories of other users, I thought otherwise.
It left me wondering if the Infinix zero is worth it ?, If this is a case of penny wise pound foolish or rather foolishness trusting food of a new cook instead of an old one. It wasn’t foolish, how could I have known that a device advertised as having zero flaws was worse than an egg when it came to fragility.
In all, I urge Infinix mobility to improve upon their products and give the young ones value for their money. So that to be users would have a good experience.
This is my experience, If you have please share.
