“It’s a season of merry making, Being a little carefree will not hurt”, is an example of typical statements people say to themselves or others during the yuletide season. To perhaps help them overcome their moral restraints, When attempting to do the unusual.
The unusual could be different things to different people, such as; Drinking, smoking, Drunk driving. Whatever they are, they are probably not good for the individual. Because he/she has not done such all although the year.
This brings us to the crux of this piece, Which is to warn you all not to go over the top in the guise of celebration.
As much as the “Ember” Months are famous for foreshadowing a new year and hosting Christmas, It is also infamous for; Road accidents caused by drunk driving, over-speeding particularly in the Christmas season.
Bankruptcy; with irrational spending as its sole cause.
Rise in number of sick people; illness such as diabetes, hypertension, high blood pressure resulting from over consumption of starchy food, salt, alcohol respectively. Some of this sad news often heard during and after the yuletide season.
The cause of the above-mentioned is not farfetched, as it can be traced to something I term “xmas craze”. It could also pass as “a little fun”, which is an euphemism. In the end, people hurt themselves in the guise of celebration.
However It appears, we must be conscious of this in order not to fall victim and pay its unpleasant price.
In conclusion, celebrate bearing in mind that the season signifies new life not the opposite.
A MERRY XMAS TO YOU, SPREAD THE LOVE.
