There are three stages in life, The child is the first where you see everything, hear everything and say everything. At this stage, we are at our purest state, anything could make us laugh and cry, we could be crying this minute and the next minute, we are laughing. We tend to live life cause that is the only thing we know how to do. It is at this stage we can make statements like "uncle said that I should tell you that he is not at home" It is the most free stage of life, it is a stage in which there a thin bare line between love and hate and if I love you I don't hide it and if I hate you I don't hide it either. Then we start getting adulterated by our parents and the community, we begin to hide our true feelings, it is at this point we begin to enter the adult phase.
The adult phase is a cold calculative phase where we see nothing, hear nothing and say nothing, it is a stage of pretence and masking of emotions in which we live for a better life and we use what we have to get what we want, it is a stage in which the successful neighbour is seen as an enemy and there is this ever conscious quest for material wealth in which nothing is enough, it is at this stage that there is a thick wall between love and hate and if I love you I don't love you, I just love what you have to offer and if I hate you I don't really do but hate what you don't have to offer ( like I could hate you because of what you did) then we start to get a bit content with life, it is at this point we reach the third phase.
The adult child phase is the last stage of maturity in which we can do anything because we want to and say anything because we can. There are no hidden feelings, if I hate you, I tell you and if I love you, I tell you also, in this phase there is a minute boundary between love and hate such that I could love you and hate you at the same time. it is a phase of pseudo-freedom because it is still held back or controlled by reasoning, it is the last stage of maturity and one in which everything goes or comes, life is at its most exciting at this stage.
