Facebook CEO Mark Zukerberg is making efforts to enter the people's republic of China and its internet market.
Facebook which is already the largest social network, with millions of users spanning over the world is heavily absent in China. Reason being that China is a communist country that censors online activities with an internet filtering and censorship systems. This has restricted access to some popular websites and activities by its citizens on these websites.
The hosting of a senior Chinese official whose office is responsible for banning Facebook, as well as other popular sites like YouTube and Twitter from China. During the visit the Chinese senior official found a copy of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" on Zukerbergs table, who also told the official that he bought copies for his workers and expressed his enthusiasm at understanding China's communism. Earlier this year in October, Mark Zuckerberg wowed Chinese students at a university in biejing where he answered questions in mandarin.
A picture depicting the CEO of Facebook in a Chinese army uniform and holding the xi jinpings book with a comment "Mark zukerberg loves xi jinpings book"has also gone viral. These are some of the steps which the facebook founder has used to woo Chinese government in an attempt to gain entry into China.
