Obi(not real name) was angry,this was the fifth time his mum was calling his name he had not even taken three spoons of rice, food that he wanted to enjoy peacefully even though there was so much noise in the market. He got up grudgingly to answer her. "Can't you see that there are customers waiting, how long would it take you to finish eating?" Obi knew better than to answer. Although the expression on his face said "mama na wa for you o, I just sat down and you have been calling me." He answered the customers and went back to his food that was already cold. He could not complain because it was the period the Christmas hustle period where all traders had no rest especially those who deals on foodstuff like obi's parents(I.e bags of rice ,gallons of oil etc). Mama obi had gone to the bank 6times that week to make orders for goods if you were frequent in the bank you would feel she was a banker.
Papa obi was cracking his head whether to buy more goods or just manage the ones he had but is anyone really satisfied? Last Christmas obi thought father made up his mind that he wasnt going to buy anymore goods until after Christmas holiday the next day he ordered for more goods and it happened about 4times before he finally made up his mind to go on holiday. There was shouting in the store next to obi's; apparently, the wheel barrow boy had charged a client more than the normal price and the woman was fuming, almost becoming violent with the barrow boy it took other traders intervention to calm the woman down after all the shouting about the little gain she made from the goods that the boy wants to collect such a price all because its Christmas period.
Well you can't blame the boy thought obi everything in the market goes up all because Christmas is 25th and its just 2weeks to go."196 pieces that's what I told you what is the matter now?" Another argument was going on in the market only this time obi did not have to go outside to look because it was happening inside his fathers store. "I am not concerned about the numbers its the amount" obi's mother was saying tp his father who was also talking at the same time. Another bank matter obi thought, at that moment his father called him.... He knew this part was coming but he thought his elder brother would be the one to be called, now he had to play judge for the two people that brought him into this world he hated doing this because of the last time....continues from next week.
